Phelps orchestrated Davidson’s 31-25 victory at San Diego, Saturday, ending USDs 39-game PFL winning streak. He threw a career-high three touchdowns, hitting the end zone from 28, 27, and 10 yards out. Phelps ended the day completing 10-of-15 passes for 189 yards, averaging 18.9 yards per completion, and added 26 yards on seven carries. On Davidson’s third scoring drive, he made a 52-yard completion on 3rd-and-12 to keep the drive alive – one of eight completions that resulted in a first down or touchdown.

Smyth became the 28th FCS player – and first since 2013 – to return two interceptions for a touchdown in the same game, providing two of Presbyterian’s three touchdowns in a 26-3 victory at Stetson, Saturday. He recorded a 30-yard interception return for a touchdown in the second quarter and followed that up with a 52 yard pick-six in the third quarter to enter the record book. Smyth also had seven solo tackles and two tackles for loss to lead a Presbyterian defense that held an opponent without a touchdown for the first time since 2018.

Emmanwori jumpstarted Presbyterian’s day with a first-quarter 88-yard kickoff return for a touchdown en route to a 26-3 victory at Stetson, Saturday. After Stetson took a 3-0 lead, Emmanwori returned the ensuing kickoff to the house to give Presbyterian the lead they would not relinquish. It was the first kick return for a touchdown by a Presbyterian player since 2013.

Niesner earns his second weekly honor after averaging 46.8 yards on six punts, to help keep Drake’s offense bottled up in Valparaiso’s 10-7 victory – its first-ever win at Drake Stadium. Three of his six punts went for 50-plus yards, including punts of 57 and 58 yards, and three were downed inside the Drake 20-yard line. In addition, he was the holder on Valparaiso’s game-winning field goal in the third quarter.
